Caroline Polachek, Angèle and SebastiAn Premier "Love Triangle"

Angèle has premiered "Love Triangle," a new single featuring Caroline Polachek and the French producer SebastiAn, on BBC Radio 1. The track poses the Belgian singer's dilemma in its title: how to choose between her two collaborators.

Polachek sings her part in French — Angèle's native language — over an electro beat built by SebastiAn, the producer affiliated with the Ed Banger label. The song marks the first recorded collaboration between the three artists.

"Love Triangle" is the latest preview of Angèle's third album, Instinct, scheduled for release on October 16. The album also features contributions from Justice and Soulwax. Instinct follows Angèle's 2022 album Nonante-Cinq and will be her first full-length release in three years.

For Polachek, the single adds to a run of releases since her 2023 solo album Desire, I Want to Turn Into You. She issued a deluxe "Everasking Edition" of that record in 2024 and has since released several one-off singles, including collaborations with the producer Danny L Harle and with the English band caroline — a group whose name nearly mirrors her own.

SebastiAn, long tied to the Ed Banger roster alongside Justice, supplies the track's production. His involvement links the single to the Parisian electro scene that also shaped Justice, one of Instinct's other featured guests.

The single arrives as Angèle builds anticipation for her first album since Nonante-Cinq, with "Love Triangle" suggesting the record will lean heavily on electronic collaborators from both sides of the Channel.
