Drake Surprises Houston Crowd, Joins Karol G for 'One Dance'

Drake made a surprise appearance at Karol G's concert at Houston's Reliant Stadium on Sunday night, joining the Colombian singer for a performance of his 2016 hit "One Dance."

The show marked the latest stop on Karol G's Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour, which kicked off in July. The global trek continues through 2027, with dates scheduled across North America, Europe, and South America. Her latest album, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto, arrived earlier this year.

The Houston cameo is not an isolated gesture. Drake previously turned up at Karol G's Toronto show in July, where the venue's Jumbotron caught him in the crowd. He then name-checked her on his Maid of Honour track "New Bestie." The two went on to release a joint single, "Ahí," which appears on No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto.

The collaboration took shape in the studio, with one specific request from Karol G. "Drake singing in Spanish has always been incredible to me," she told Rolling Stone. "We started talking about making it a duet, like the verses responding to each other. And I was like, 'I don't know, but I'd love it if Drake sang it in Spanish.'"

Drake has kept busy on other fronts. He recently unveiled his elusive project Fear of Missing Out, a self-described "not-so-short film." The clip shows Drake dancing through his sprawling mansion and piloting his lime-green boat along the Toronto skyline. It also places him in an intimate conversation between his mother, Sandra "Icemom" Graham, and her best friends, and features him brandishing a pair of $150,000 Iron Man suits.

The film doubles as a preview of new music. It teases songs with Don Toliver and Sexyy Red, plus a reworked version of Ella Langley's hit "Choosin' Texas."

With Karol G's tour running through 2027, further onstage link-ups between the two stars remain a live possibility.
