Netflix Wraps 'Wednesday' Season 3, Reveals First Look at Jenna Ortega

Netflix has released a first image of Jenna Ortega at a typewriter in "Wednesday" Season 3 and confirmed that production on the season has officially wrapped.

Ortega stars as Wednesday Addams in the Tim Burton-directed series, which launched in 2022. Season 2 arrived last year in two parts, released in August and September. The first four-episode half drew 50 million views in its first five days — matching the launch of Season 1, which remains Netflix's most-watched English-language series of all time and No. 2 worldwide behind "Squid Game" Season 1. "Wednesday" Season 2 finished as the No. 10 most-watched title in the streamer's history.

The returning cast includes Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, Emma Myers as werewolf Enid Sinclair, Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester, Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin, Joy Sunday, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Billie Piper, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Victor Dorobantu, Evie Templeton, Joanna Lumley and Andrew McCarthy.

Season 3 introduces Eva Green as Ophelia Frump, Morticia's sister and Wednesday's aunt. The season also reunites Winona Ryder with Ortega and Burton, her collaborators on "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice." Further newcomers include Lena Headey, James Lance, Oscar Morgan, Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor and Kennedy Moyer.

The new season was shot in Paris and Dublin. Season 2 ended with Wednesday setting off with Uncle Fester to rescue Enid, trapped as an alpha werewolf.

The show is based on characters created by Charles Addams. Alfred Gough and Miles Millar developed the series and serve as executive producers and showrunners. Burton directs and executive produces. MGM Television is the studio.

With production complete and a cast blending franchise veterans with high-profile additions, Season 3 now heads toward a release that will test whether "Wednesday" can extend its standing among Netflix's biggest titles.
