Brandi Carlile will tour North America this fall with no setlist at all. The trek, billed as "Burn the Setlist (The All Request Tour)," runs from Nov. 5 at Portland's Revolution Hall through Dec. 17 at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York, and every show will be built from spur-of-the-moment fan requests.

Carlile will perform as a trio with her longtime bandmates and collaborators Phil and Tim Hanseroth. Because the sets depend on audience requests, no two nights will be the same. Carlile first tested the format during her previous The Human Tour, which she embarked on earlier this year.

The routing returns Carlile to some of the theaters she played earlier in her career, including Portland's Revolution Hall, two nights at the Rialto Theatre in Tucson, Arizona, two nights at Milwaukee's Pabst Theater and two nights at Minneapolis's State Theatre. The itinerary also includes Oakland's Fox Theater on Nov. 7, the Des Moines Civic Center on Nov. 12, two nights at The Louisville Palace Theater, the Uptown Theater in Kansas City on Nov. 22, and a three-night stand at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester beginning Dec. 15.

The shows will be phone-free, with Yondr pouches provided for attendees. The move follows similar policies at recent underplay concerts, including Paul McCartney's dates at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles and Phoebe Bridgers' current tour. A statement explains the decision: "They want to feel free to try difficult things, make mistakes and bond with the audience like never before."

Each show comes with a QR code that gives attendees three bootlegs from that night plus other exclusive content. Full bootlegs from every performance will be available for purchase to those in attendance.

Presale tickets for premium Bramily fan club members go on sale Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. local time, with non-premium presale following at 2 p.m. via the official website. General on-sale begins Friday, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m. local time.

Carlile enters the tour on a high. Earlier this month she took home Song of the Year at the Americana Honors & Awards for "Returning to Myself," and last week she released the deluxe version of the album of the same name. Returning to Myself (Sad Gay Version) reimagines the original record and features four tracks co-produced with Aaron Dessner, along with a new version of Billy Joel's "And So It Goes."

With audience requests replacing a fixed setlist and bootlegs distributed to every ticket holder, the tour shifts the concert document from leak to official release — one fan-curated night at a time.
