Tribeca Festival Sets June 2027 Dates for Its 26th Edition

The Tribeca Festival will hold its 26th edition June 3 – 12, 2027, in New York City, the organization announced today. Presented by OKX, the festival has opened submissions across all its categories and put festival passes on sale, including the returning Under 25 Pass and a new Hudson Opening Weekend Pass.

Filmmakers and creators can now submit work in Features, Shorts & Music Videos, Tribeca TV, Tribeca Digital Creators, Tribeca Games, Tribeca Podcasts, and Tribeca X. The festival has published full details on submission rules, regulations, and eligibility.

The announcement comes before the fall film festival season has even wrapped, signaling an early start to the 2027 festival calendar.

This year's 25th anniversary edition welcomed 57 first-time feature filmmakers. They joined an alumni community that includes Ryan Coogler, Damien Chazelle, Jon M. Chu, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, Alex Gibney, Jessica Kingdon, and Nia DaCosta.

"Building on a record year at the box office, we cannot wait to welcome our passionate audiences back to New York City for our 26th year to discover and delight in the incredible stories, creativity, and cultural experiences that make Tribeca so special each June," said Rebecca Glashow, CEO of Tribeca Enterprises, in an official statement. "At its heart, Tribeca has always been about bringing audiences and artists together to experience the new voices shaping our culture."

Tribeca Festival Director and SVP Programming Cara Cusumano pointed to last year's submission numbers as a measure of the anniversary edition's strength. "Last year's record-breaking submissions helped make our 25th anniversary one of the most remarkable editions in Tribeca's history, and we can't wait to see what comes next," Cusumano said in her own statement. "Tribeca was built on the belief that the next great storyteller could come from anywhere, and we look forward to meeting the voices who will define the 2027 Festival."

On the audience side, Tribeca will bring back the Under 25 Pass after a successful pilot year, giving younger audiences greater access to the festival. The festival will also introduce the Hudson Opening Weekend Pass, which offers access to festival programming from Opening Night through Monday.

With submissions open and passes already on sale, the 2027 edition's programming slate will take shape over the coming months as the festival looks to surface the voices Cusumano says will define it.
